My art practice primarily consists of drawing, painting and printmaking, derived from the ancient woodland landscapes of Britain. My work has been an exploration of a twilight world that lives between the conscious and the ephemeral, a place that exists within me and within the countryside I explore.

Much of my work does not follow a linear path. Many of the themes I use in my drawings and paintings are constantly revisited, reworking and developing my original ideas further. Compositions such as the Viaduct and Estuary have been subjects I have come back to many times.

I am currently working on a series of large drawings. The content is a mixture of revisited ideas and new themes linked to the landscape and within this context I see the work following in a tradition of Romantic Landscape imagery.

Artist: paintings and drawings of arcadian forests and mountainous vistas within the ancient landscapes of Britain.
